Day 2 of Phase 2 - Day 4

Day 4 1/25/2011

Beginning weight 170.2
current weight 168.2 AM Weigh in
Total loss to date 2 pounds - :)

Yesterday was the first day that I was on the 500 calorie diet. I was really surprized that it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I had become accustomed to eating breakfast of a bagel with butter, not margerine, real butter. If it was not a bagel, then it was an English muffin with butter. So I thought it would be hard to go back to just having coffee with Sweet-N-Low, I was mistaken and for the first time I am glad I was wrong.
I made it a point of drinking plenty of water or green tea. They say you should always drink a full 8 oz glass of water before every meal, so that is what I did. I expected to be starving by the time I got home at 5pm and I wasn't. I took my drops at 5pm, then I took a small walk, to the mailbox and back at a brisk pace, by then the required 30 minutes was over and I heated up my 100 grams of chicken (boneless, skinless, baked using water, salt & pepper) I also decided to have cabbage (a serving is 1/2 a head) boiled with salt. I just heated the chicken on top of the cabbage and then I cut the chicken up, mixing it with the cabbage and Melba toast, 1 piece. The cabbage really filled me up and if cabbage didn't make my body do things that I and others don't like, I would eat the cabbage at least 1 a day. Then at around 9pm I had my snack of apple slices. I am used to snacking at night and I really enjoy eating cookies, but I did not miss the cookies. Everything went well until I went to bed and then my tummy was wanting a little more. I didn't have any dreams of food. Overall I am feeling good, better than I even expected.
I woke this morning, weighed in and was happy to see that I had lost another 1.4 pounds! I hope to see a full 2 lbs lost tomorrow, but if all I lose is another 1.4, I will be happy with that. I usually get stuck at 166, so hopefully I can get past that before the end of the first week.
Look forward to my post tomorrow to see how the rest of Day 4 goes and what I have lost.
