As you recall from yesterdays post, I was very ill with nausea or more like a mild vertigo, but enough to make me pale. I have had worse vertigo several years ago. Today I still have very, very mild vertigo, nothing I can't deal with.
I decided yesterday that I need more choices for my food and that is allowed on the diet as long it is on the list. I know that some of the diets allow for substitutions, mine does not. So I went to the store and bought some very lean beef, cabbage and some spinach. I might have mentioned that I had cabbage before and that I found it to make me feel more full. I boiled 1/2 a head of cabbage, as that is the serving size, with spices. For dinner I had the 100 grams of beef, spinach and my Melba toast. I felt full and the beef tasted sooooo good.
I am a huge gum chewer, because it keeps me from clenching my teeth, which I do without realizing it. So yesterday I looked up gum that uses xylitol and it pulled up Orbit gum, so I thought great I can chew that in spearment and it should help with the nausea. Thankfully someone at work has some and gave it to me. I imediately poppped it in my mouth, then after I was chewing and working, I glanced at the package and found that it didn't have xylitol, but it had phenylketonurics, which basically is aspartame (which is not allowed). Well I thought I have totally ruined the day. Thankfully it didn't have any affect on the weight loss. I am sure if I continued to use everyday it would, so no more gum for me until I get to the Vitamin Shoppe and buy Spry gum, it is the only gum that uses only xylitol and nothing else. Hopefully it won't stick to my dental work.
I slept well, I only mention this because I have read other people's comments when they first take the drops, they have had vivid dreams about food and it has interrupted their sleep.
As always I got up and weighed myself. Found I lost another 1.4 lbs (that is my average).
I am delighted to find that I past that 166 that I could never get past before. Yay.
I actually was wishing for a better average, I wanted to lose 2 lbs a day, just because I didn't want to be on this diet for the full 6 weeks, but I am more than happy with my results so far. Today I found my regular belt hook was too big so that's a plus and I really noticed the weight loss in my face. One day at a time.
