Another day down and another pound lost. For some reason I have it in my head that I need to lose more and I am questioning weather I am following the diet and the drops as I am suppose to. But the stupid part is that I should be happy with the pound a day.
When I first started to really watch my calories and workout 4 days a week I only lost 4 pounds in 6 weeks. Then when I got discouraged and quit, I promptly gained it back. I need to just be diligent and patient.
So as I ended my blog yesterday, I was struggling with a bit of hunger and ate an extra serving of fruit. It didn't hurt my results. Each day the hunger is subsiding. This time I took an extra dose of drops, which is permitted. Then I ate a fruit serving about mid-morning and I felt so much better. I was full after I had lunch, but mid-afternoon around 3:00pm I started craving chocolate. My work place is full of chocolate, cookies and more often than not donuts (I am a donut whore), I have done very well staying away from all of it, but it was a struggle yesterday. So instead of grabbing a Reese's Peanut Butter cup, I grab the bag and read the calories in just one cup. Can you believe that there are 85 calories in 1 and a serving is 2. No wonder I was fat. Before getting serious about weight loss I didn't hesitate to eat a few servings. Then I put the bag away and went for a short walk outside and ate the second serving of bread (a piece of Melba toast), drank a tall glass of water and then I felt better.
After work I had to go run an errand so it was much later when I had dinner than usual, but I wasn't even feeling hungry, so this tells me that my stomach size is shrinking. I swear that all the weight I have lost so far has been in my feet, which are long and skinny anyway. So I find that shoes that fit really comfortable last week cause my feet to slip and slide in them. I am having to add a pair of socks with them, which I hate to do. But I also do not want to have sore feet either.
I have already decided that I am not buying anymore clothing until I have reached my goal weight. I know that will mean that I have to safety pin my pants, skirts, etc. Once I reach that goal weight I will go and spend money on a quality wardrobe instead of the cheaper clothing that I usually buy. I guess that will include buying shoes too!
What will tomorrow bring? Another pound lost or will it be 2? Either way I am happy with the results so far.
