Current Weight 157.4
So yesterday I was concerned that I hit a plateau as I was 158.6 for 3 days. After further research I was able to determine that I most likely had hit a plateau. The HCG diet stays a plateau at 4 days without a weight loss. I wasn't gonna wait another day and be disappointed, so I looked up suggestion to push myself past it. One of the reason a person may not lose is by not having a BM at least once a day. I was never that regular anyway, but as I thought about it, I realized that I ought to have one more often then 3 days, especially with eating so many fruits and vegi's. So on that thought I went to the store and bought some laxatives. Took them at lunch and prepared for them to work overnight.
At home I made myself some asparagas with shrimp. Then as I was looking over the recipes that I had, I decided to make chicken and cabbage soup as well as some vegi-beef. Both turned out well as far as a sample tasted. My sister came by and brought over some articles of clothing she had received, so I went through them and found a few items that fit, so I am now have a few items of clothing to wear in the inbetween stage of my loss. Then I did a bit of house work before I settled in for the night.
When I awoke this morning I can say that the laxative did as it promised. I had to weigh myself twice. When I first stepped on the scale it read 157.6 and then after (well you know) I stepped back on the scale and it read 157.4. Just what I needed. Now I will keep better track of my body. I am considering getting some probiotics to keep my body regular.
Today I am continuing to follow the diet and hoping to stay on the 1.2 lbs a day loss. If I can keep to that or more I should still be able to reach my goal before Phase 2 is over. All I can do is take it one day at a time.
My sister Suzi has been posting to my bolg on her journey with HCG as well. She is losing a lot more a day than I am and I want to be jealous, but I can't because I am just as excited for her as I am for myself.
One thing I learned with hitting my plateau is how to push yourself beyond it and here are a couple of things that have been known to work.
eat 6 apples for a day and nothing else.
watch your regularity, if you are not having at least 1 BM a day that can lead to no loss.
make sure you are drinking plenty of water.
have a steak day, eat nothing all day until dinner, then have 100g of lean beef and sliced tomato.
have nothing but liqiuds all day..fasting (if you can do that, I can't as I have tried that before, I have to eat something or I feel ill)

I tried to post the other day, but had some trouble. I mainly wanted to say that you shouldn't feel badly at all about me losing more right away. Remember how, on the "Biggest Loser," the heaviest people always lose the most at first? Same principle here - I am short and heavier than you are!
