Current Weight 154
So I am now a few days into the Phase 3. Yesterday was actually the 1st full day of Phase 3 and I had no appetite, so I ate an apple all day until dinner. I, of course, had an upset stomach so I am sure that is what was the cause of no appetite. On our way home from seeing the house my brother is purchasing we drove past IKEA and decided to take dad there, since he had never been. We all had the swedish meatballs, but I was not able to eat all of mine.
I went to bed last night with a headache and woke this morning with a splitting one. Called into work to advise that I was not going to be in until after lunch and went back to sleep. Got up at 9am with a less than splitting headache and took some more headache med's.
When I weighed in this morning I saw that I was down 1.4 lbs! I am glad to see that I am not gaining any weight since I am off the drops. I am encouraged that I did have a loss, however, that might just be due to the lack of eating yesterday. I did eat those swedish meatball late in the evening yesterday and I did have potatoes, even though I am not suppose to add the starch yet.
When I was shaving my legs this morning I found that I had hideous bruises, all purple on the outside of my right calf and knee. Then I saw that I had even worse ones on the inside of my left calf. I look like I was beaten about the lower legs. I do not remember anything that could have caused brusing that badly. I did get in and out of the backseat of my car and that is hard to do the older you get. My concern is how easy it was for me to bruise. While I have been taking multi-vitamins and eating a lot of spinach, it appears that I may be iron deficient, so that is something you should watch out for when on this diet.
My exercise program right now is to go for walk in the evening and slowly build up to doing my aerobics on the Wii. I am planning to be on that by the first part of next week.

Well, as you know by now, I discovered some bruising on my right thigh near my knee as well. Also have had some charlie horses. I was thinking it could have something to do with going out dancing the other night, since we aren't really giving ourselves the nutrients to exert ourselves physically right now.
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I am going to add some low dose iron to my vitamin regimen. I also think I need to drink more water.
The fact that I've misplaced my thyroid medicine is a problem for me as well. I have to call and see if I can get some early, I guess.
On top of it - I am in that place where I'm going to need to take a laxative tonight. Fun.
I think that the charlie horses are due to the lack of potassium. I did not look to see what foods are high in potassium that can be incorporated into the phase 2 portion of the diet. When I start my second round in April, I will be schooled more in nutrition to know what foods to incorporate that are higher in iron and potassium.
