Day 4 of Week 2

Current weight 160.2

It is official, I have lost 10 lbs in 2.5 weeks!!!

Still losing! After becoming adjusted to not piling food on an oversize plate. I am learning to know what a real portion looks like. Yesterday I found that I was not hungry. I brought my lunch as I normally do, however, I had forgotten that I promised to go to lunch with my friend Carol. So we went to the bistro across the street. I was hoping to be able to get a side salad, but all they had was an incredible large salad that had 2 types of cheese on it as well as olives, red peppers and red onions. I removed the top layers so I was able to just get plain salad. I also asked for a plate so I could measure my serving size. I used a little salt & pepper and was very satisfied. I was also so proud of my drink choice, I actually asked for a cup for ice water. This is amazing because usually I would just have a Diet Coke. So proud of myself.
When I got home, my daughter was making hamburgers, so she asked if I could have one with a few bread crumbs in it and since I am allowed Melba Toast I figure that a few bread crumbs wouldn't hurt. I also had left over salad from lunch (because their serving sizrs are equal to 3 servings) I dished up a serving on the smaller plates that we have at home. So I had 100 grams of extra lean ground beef and salad for dinner. Those smaller plates are what I am eating off of from now on.
Yesterday I was craving something sweet and chocolatey. So I looked up some recipes allowed on the diet and then stopped at the store and picked up some apples, nutmeg and all natural 0 grams of sugar cocoa. When I got home I peeled and sliced an apple, placed them on a cookie sheet, sprinkled them with sweet-n-low, nutmeg and cocoa. I plced them in the oven to get soft. When they were done I gave them a try and they were great. My grandson loved them, so I shared my fruit serving with him. But now I know what I can snack on in the evening, as long as I do not eat all of my fruit servings before I get home. But this is something I will make with cinnamon as well and have on hand all the time, not just during the diet.
In the morning I noticed that I have what appears to be "cottage cheese" stomach, then I realized that it was pockets under my skin where the fat has burned away. I am at the point in the loss that I am starting to see the difference. This is a huge motivation. Not to mention stepping on the scale every morning.
If you have been following my blog and are now considering doing the diet, I will be happy to answer any questions you have. Just post them as a comment to my blog. If you have gone out and bought the drops I will only say happy losing and don't be surprized if you find yourself loving your scale.
