Day 6 - Phase 2 - Round 2

Current Weight 153.4
Beginning Weight 155

So yesterday I had weighed in kind of high and I knew that I had sabotaged myself. So I decided that I needed to be on a liquid diet. I tried so hard to keep to that thought. I had coffee and water. But then I got to the afternoon and I was a bit peckish so I ate a saltine and a 1/2 a grapefruit. Around 3pm I ate a pear.
I got home and I started dinner for the family. Pork chops and augratin potatoes. It smelled so good. Since I was on a mostly liquid diet I knew I wouldn't be eating. But then after I pulled the food out of the oven I knew I would eat a little. I had a few potatoes and about a 1/4 of a pork chop.
Then I hit the road with my sister to Claremont CA. We stopped half way and put gas in the tank, got a coffee and a cherry nut snack that we shared. It was late when we got in so we went right to bed. Then we chit-chatted like two friends at a sleepover.
When I got up this morning I weighed in and was surprised that I had dropped so much. Since it turned out that I did not end up on a liquid diet after all. I lost 3 lbs!!! If I can stay on track I will be below the 150's before the end of the week..WooHoo!!!
I took these three vacation days because I have been under a lot of stress lately. I decided that I needed to take some time to think about the direction my career is going. On Thursday I will be venturing out to a culinary school. It never hurts to get more information.
After I got up this morning I went out and just took a long walk in the fresh morning air. The housekeeper was in cleaning the rooms and I didn't want to get in her way. So I just strolled down the street and looked around. It was a nice walk and I enjoyed it. I wish I had more days to just go out and enjoy. I am beginning to think that I no longer want to work traditional hours. I miss so much of the day and spend my evenings just hanging out on the couch. I would love to have more daylight hours to do things. - sometimes we have to think about moving our own cheese.
I don't want to blog too long today, because the sun has come out from behind the clouds and the grounds here are beautiful. I think I will go out to the garden area with my book and just enjoy the great outdoors and the quiet.
Go out, be active, be happy!
